Overview

The PPNG Doublebuff composition is neither the only nor the fastest team, but it produces very quick runs with very little risk of failing. The composition consists of 2 Patias, Nefaria, and a 2nd DPS (usually Gala Cleo) and works by abusing doublebuffs to constantly heal and buff everyone.

In order for the strategy to work, everyone must be wearing [dl wp="valiant_crown"] Valiant Crown and [dl wp="odd_sparrows"] Odd Sparrows. Plaguebringer can technically be used over Odd Sparrows, but it produces only similar results while sacrificing the healing.

Clear rates are consistently ~2 min ± 30 sec and gives a lot of room for mistakes due to having multiple def up buffs. A full MUB 6.1 team can consistently see sub-2 minute runs.

Adventurers

[dl adv="patia"] Patia

The core of the team is the 2 Patias. She provides STR buffs, def buffs, heals, and 3x bleed stacks. This is almost equivalent to filling 3-4 roles with just 2 characters.

Because Patia's main focus is on using S1 as much as possible, she can get away with weaker weapons such as the Chimeratech T2 weapon or 0 UB 6.1 and still clear very quickly.

However, a highly-invested Patia with Shinobi and a HDT2 or MUB 6.1 can contribute significant damage by stacking 3 bleed stacks together with their S2s.

[dl wp="valiant_crown"] Valiant Crown
[dl wp="odd_sparrows"] Odd Sparrows

In general, this is what everyone will be wearing. It is not uncommon to see +100% STR and Def buffs and 700 HP heal ticks with this combination.

1st Phase
The Patias are in charge of baiting the first spin at the very beginning away from the ranged characters.

Because the Patias are usually the closest to Kai Yan, they will be targetted by the circular electrical fields. The main cause of failed runs is if these electrical fields are improperly stacked, causing someone to get stuck in between the two and repeatedly lose HP. Make sure to stack the fields as closely as possible.

Due to their multiple def up buffs, they can choose to tank the 1st phase stack together without including your DPSers. This will allow the DPSers to continue attacking without worrying about repositioning or losing their full HP buffs.

2nd Phase
Shortly after Kai Yan shields himself, he will walk towards the center and throw the farthest player into a weakpoint ball towards the center. The other 3 will have to break the weakpoint ball to free the player and avoid taking AoE damage. Ideally, one of the Patias should be in charge of getting trapped by this because they do the lowest damage.

To improve DPS, the Patia can shapeshift with Shinobi and skill to energize everyone shortly before being trapped. This will help break the weakpoint faster.

In addition to being the weakpoint bait, the Patias should try to bait Kai Yan's dashes away from the Supreme Spheres which give him a shield if he runs into them.

[dl adv="nefaria"] Nefaria

Nefaria is the main damage dealer of this team and is required to dispel the shields. She can deal over 200k damage S1s (with Patia's and Gleo's buffs) which can be spammed 3 times in a row with her S2 outside of break. Successfully pulling off a 3x S1 on break can deal over 1 million damage.

Nefaria has the most responsibility because she needs to time her S2-modified FSes with the shield as well as deal as much damage as possible.

Similar to above, this is the setup everyone will be running to make the doublebuff strategy work.

1st Phase
The only real thing Nefaria wants to do here is to push for the 2nd phase as quickly as possible. In other words, she needs to do as much damage as possible.

Nefaria's S2 modifies her FS to give 2400 SP. Combined with skill haste, her empowered S2 will instantly recharge her S1. Because you are not forced to use your empowered S2 immediately, she can save it for certain parts such as break, allowing her to do 3 S1s in a row.

It should be noted that being in Kai Yan's arena increases the damage done but also the damage taken. Therefore, to maximize damage, you want to be in this arena. Luckily, if you have 2 Patias in your team, getting hit doesn't hurt anywhere as much as it should.

2nd Phase
Nefaria is in charge of dispelling the shields as quickly as possible in this phase. You cannot gain SP while hitting the shield; therefore, if you do not have your empowered FS up in time, you will have to slowly break through each one with damage alone.

Your team's damage and clear time depends highly on how quickly you can dispel these shields.

[dl adv="gala_cleo"] Gala Cleo

Gala Cleo is, surprisingly, the middle role of the pack this time and tends to be the flex spot of this composition. Her S1 is fantastic for taking out multiple Supreme Spheres which prevents Kai Yan from regenerating his shield and gives a bit of everything from DPS to heals.

Because Gala Cleo is not strictly necessary, any other dark DPSers can take her spot and clear only a little slower, if not about the same time.

[dl wp="valiant_crown"] Valiant Crown
[dl wp="odd_sparrows"] Odd Sparrows

Similar to above, this is the setup everyone will be running to make the doublebuff strategy work.

1st Phase
Similar to Nefaria's role, Gala Cleo simply wants to push for phase 2 as quickly as possible.

As noted above, you want to be inside Kai Yan's arena to do the most damage possible.

2nd Phase
Gala Cleo's main role in this phase is to take out the Supreme Spheres which give Kai Yan a shield every time he absorbs one. Her S1 does multiple hits that are spread across multiple targets, making her perfect for the job.

Otherwise, play her like you usually do.

[dl adv="lathna"] Lathna

Similar to Gala Cleo, Lathna acts as the second DPS.

Lathna's S1 will target neighboring enemies if she eliminates her current target. This can be used to clear a couple Supreme Spheres, if she is close enough to them.

[dl adv="curran"] Curran

Similar to Gala Cleo, Curran acts as the second DPS.

His skill modifiers when attacking poisoned targets are incredibly high with short animation frames, making him a very good choice as a second DPS.
